Thank
you for your interest in DragonWynd Designs.
I have been an artist and woodworker for most of my life,
but over the past 12 years I have been slowly blending them
together.

Coming
full circle, I really wanted to take it to another level. Doing
the carvings is just one more area that I really wanted to try
out. When I was in Montana, I saw a lot of antler carvings of
animal totems and Native American designs. This led me to the
idea of doing some Celtic/Pagan designs, as well as just some
nature figures in natural settings. |

I
like being one with the Earth and I tread carefully here on
the farm. I bought this old farm house and land about 3 years
ago and have been working on it ever since. It's been something
of a love/hate relationship from the beginning, but something
that I can’t walk away from. It has been a lot of hard
work, from restoring the inside of the house to building the
cedar fence out front, to restoring the old barns. I want it
to be a place of solitude and good energy for all that come
here to enjoy. |

The
“boys”, Jack and Finn, are always full of energy
and love the surrounding woods on our little farm. They run
about finding new things to sniff out and chase when the occasion
arises. We have wild turkey, rabbits, squirrels, groundhogs,
deer and, now, our chickens, so they are kept very busy to say
the least; well, except for the chickens, they aren't allowed
to bother them. |

| When
working, I try to relay good energy in every piece that I
do so as to pass that energy on to the next person. My work
is custom and all hand crafted from start to finish. I use
only natural shed antler that comes from Montana. I build,
stretch and prime each canvas as well. I enjoy doing it and
like the time that is spent; seeing it come together. I prefer
to do custom work, whether it is doing a drawing and carving
it from your design or coming up with one just out of my head.
Sometimes I will do a repeat of a certain piece when I get
a strong request for it, but I do try to change it a bit so
that each piece is original, yet different. |
|
| Pricing
varies for each piece. I do ask for 50% upfront on commissioned
work.
I hope you enjoy my site. Please feel free to e-mail me or
contact me by phone for any questions you may have.
